7/18/2017 Triune Being: Journey To WholenessMy family and I recently went to a holistic clinic out of state. A place we had found much healing from in the past. We hadn't been there in a quite some time so I was very excited to go! Until I started getting treatment there again this time, I had sorta forgotten just how much we truly are a spirit, soul and body being. How one really does affect the other either negatively or positively. Like many times before, things came bubbling to the surface unexpectedly. Although I wasn't fond of those things surfacing at the time, once dealt with through treatment, I ended up feeling very grateful they did! Sometimes we can heal spontaneously all at once but more often than not it seems as though it is a process we must walk out. A process of pealing back the layers like an onion. These layers can be from so long ago and we don't even know how they are affecting us mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
What Are Our Minds Thinking? What I realized even more being there this time were my thoughts, how I had much more control over them than I had before and how much more I needed to be. But, as easy as that is to say, being deficient in certain nutrients, the methylation pathway (detox pathway) being blocked causing toxins to build up in our system or the gut (our second brain) not functioning properly can affect how easy or how hard it can be to to control our thoughts. Yes there are things that can help with those issues but what I have learned is that it is so important to intentionally "renew my mind" daily and constantly. To fix my mind on those things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and of good report. It's a choice! And because our thoughts can affect our whole being, I believe it is so important to make that choice! Just like nutrient dense food or supplements, thoughts are another way in which we feed our brains. If we are eating unhealthy food or thinking negatively, we are feeding our brains negativity. And wouldn't the world with all that is going on in it today just love for us all to fall into that negative mindset? What Are Our Hearts Saying? There is a great saying that says "for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks". What does this mean though? This means that when we speak, those things that are abundant in our hearts whether we are aware of them or not, will come out. So if we are consumed with bitterness, pride, self condemnation, envy, lust, anger, fear (just to name a few), it will come out. When we realize just how important our words truly are, we then realize how important it is to work on those things that are circulating around in our hearts that may not be good for us. Let's talk about our words so we can see just how important they really are. Words are created by vibrations made from our voice box that create certain sounds or frequencies. When we speak these sounds, we are putting them into the atmosphere and they can affect things around us. There was an experiment done by a Dr. Masaru Emoto in which he studied words, negative and positive, and the power they had on water. His findings were amazing! When the water was frozen, photographs showed that negativity produced ugly crystallized images and positivity produced beautiful crystallized images. This experiment seemed to prove just how accurate this phrase is, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof". There are natural consequences when we speak because frequencies promote change all around us. Are we speaking life or death over ourselves and our loved ones? From someone that has been there, if we are struggling with unpleasant symptoms, are we claiming these symptoms (or disease) as our own? Or are we claiming and declaring health and wholeness over ourselves? I think a good question for me (and probably all of us) to ask on a regular basis is this. Am I making positive or negative changes with my thoughts and my words? How Do Our Senses Contribute To Our Wellbeing? Loud noises! Violent movies! What impact do these have on us? What we listen to, what we watch and what we do with all our other senses can have such an impact on our wellbeing. Well at least that is what I have discovered on my health journey. Are you the type of person that needs a lot of time to yourself? Does being around people constantly wear you out? If you are like me, it is not pleasant to live like this. There is a lot of stimuli coming at us from so many directions and it can often feel like we are in constant overload! The million dollar question! So if these thoughts in our minds and these feelings in our hearts that form our spoken words can have such an impact on the world around us, how much of an impact can they have on ourselves and our well being? THE GOOD NEWS! There are things that can help us with our thoughts in our minds, our feelings in our hearts and the words that are produced because of them. There are things that can help with the constant overload of stimuli on our senses. As I said in the beginning, we are a triune being...spirit, soul and body. One affects the other. So far we've talked mostly about our soul which is usually referred to as our mind, will and emotions. I hope from what was shared above that we can all see how these things can definitely have an impact on our physical health, our bodies. But the opposite is true as well. If something happens to our bodies, that can have an impact on our mind, will and emotions...our soul. See how that works? And that is why I believe it is so important that we are intentional about taking care of our whole being every day. Good in and bad out! So what are some of the ways we can do this? Neuroplasticity Our brains are neuroplastic, meaning they make new neuro connections either for the good or for the bad depending on what we are feeding our brains. What has taken me quite awhile to learn is how to take control of my thoughts. Of course I don't have it down perfectly but I was pleasantly surprised how much more in control of them I was this time going to our holistic clinic. I do feel it's important to say this however. Saying to fix our eyes more on the positive does not mean we should stick our heads in the sand. That isn't reality! That is living in a make believe bubble that we have created for ourselves. There is a way we can be aware of what's happening and even engage in them but at the same time, know our limits and become aware of how we are responding to our thoughts. "Every thought you think becomes a physical reaction inside of your brain." Dr. Caroline Leaf. Bring Toxic Thoughts into Captivity by Dr. Caroline Leaf https://youtu.be/ZczIP_79jXs Sound Frequencies I believe it is important to be intentional about what we listen to. If we are constantly listening to loud unpleasant frequencies, that can have an affect on our well being. This is just something to be aware of and make the intentional choice to listen to something or not. I know for me, I can be very sensitive to different sounds at different times but depending on the day or time, I could listen to those same sounds that I couldn't before and be okay with them. I think it depends on many different factors and what stressors each day holds. Maybe we can try and get some healing frequencies in our lives to counteract all the other ones that try to bombard us daily? With 95% of all chronic diseases being stress induced, it may be a wise idea to take an inventory of all the many different stressors in our lives and see what we can do about each one of those. WHOLETONES The Healing Frequency Music Project by Michael Tyrrell https://wholetones.com/ Inner Healing What is Inner Healing? Inner Healing is about finding out why we do some of those things we do and just don't know why we do them. Sorta of like the well known story about the man that asked why he did the things he didn't want to do and he didn't do the things he wanted to do. I know I have asked that question about myself on many occasions as I'm sure many of us have. Inner Healing is about how life experiences, relationships and even our ancestral influences affect the way we perceive things in our lives. It may seem logical to think, "because my grandma had this or that and then my mom had this or that, that I then am predestined to have this or that". That's not true! Not only is it not true physically. It's not true emotionally, mentally or spiritually either. There is a way to heal from these things so that we do not have to go down the same path that our family members did or maybe that we have already been going down in our own lives. There is a way to find the root causes to these things that we do so we can stop doing them. It's about finding freedom from the things we may feel trapped in our hearts or in our minds which can be affecting our bodies. Like it was mentioned before, we are a triune being. One part affects the other! To find out more about this, please go here. https://www.elijahhouse.org/ Our Eyes Are Our Windows To Our Soul A wonderful person who I consider to be like a second mom to me often times has mentioned to me how important it is to guard our eyes because our eyes are the windows to our soul. It is true! Many years ago I used to be drawn to horror movies but I would tend to feel very disturbed afterward. I would even have nightmares! I do not know why I would do that to myself but I did it on several occasions. That was just another stressor I have learned I do not need in my life. Today I seem to be even more sensitive than I used to be so I choose not to even watch television for the most part. If I choose to see a movie at the theatre with my husband on our date nights, I try to make sure I know what it's about before I decide. To me, it is very important that I am intentional about what I choose to watch or not. Also the more I learn how interconnected our senses are to our spirit, soul and body, my decisions have to be wiser. Physiology and The Medical Uses of Light I know we talked about sound frequencies but how can light frequencies help? If you have never heard of light frequencies and how it can be used to help bring a person to a better state of wellbeing, please read this fascinating paper! It explains how they use light at the clinic we go to. Illuminated Physiology and The Medical Uses of Light by Dr. David A. Jernigan http://hansacenter.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/IlluminatedPhysiology.pdf Introvert Have you ever been called an introvert? Or maybe people have even called you anti-social? Have you already discovered that you tend to want to be alone a lot? I just want to reassure you that it is not wrong or bad to feel these things. Today's society tries to make us think that everyone needs to be an extrovert but we are all wired differently. We were not all created the same. It can be hard to explain to someone who gets energized by being around crowds how draining or uncomfortable it can be for an introvert. It does not make us anti-social though. It just means we are wired uniquely. We can be social in different ways and/or we may need more breaks to regroup and ground ourselves. In explaining these things to my doctor while at the clinic, he totally understood. He really helped me by talking to me about this and gave me some tips. Take quite breaks when I'm in a crowd of people for any length of time and to be intentional to refuel when I do have a quick moment to myself. Now, I haven't read this yet and I normally do not recommend something if I haven't done it, used it, read it or watched it myself so I am putting that disclaimer out there first. However, I was told about this book, I've read what it's about and it looks good. Because of that, I've ordered it. If you are interested in looking into it, it may be helpful. Quite: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain https://www.amazon.com/Quiet-Power-Introverts-World-Talking/dp/0307352153 Spiritually Sensitive Have you ever walked into a room and suddenly you felt overpowered by grief, anger or any other emotion that you didn't have prior to walking in that room? Have you suddenly become so overwhelmed with an emotion that seemed to come out of thin air and you wondered why you were feeling that way? Do your senses seem to always be on hight alert or you tend to be overly emotional to others? If so, welcome to the club! I tell you, in a way I wish I had learned about this a long time ago but I also believe we learn things when the time is right. If I would have known why I felt and sensed the things I did earlier in my life, I'm assuming that life wouldn't have been so confusing nor as painful for me. In the last few years I have learned that I am not weird nor was it wrong for me to have felt those emotions. I am spiritually sensitive and that is okay. Not only is it okay but it can be a very treasured gift if we can learn how to navigate through it correctly. It can take some time to discern if the emotions we are feeling are our own or if we just picked up someone else's. It may take a while to learn how to let these feelings go and to not carry them. And until we learn how to do this, it can be very draining on many different levels. If you want to learn more about all of this, these are two books that have honestly been life changing for me and have helped me take control over my thoughts and my emotions which was having an affect on me physically.
