Welcome to Hartland Voters and Civic Engagement
We have probably all heard at some time in our lives that we can talk about anything but politics and religion but why? I don’t care all that much for the words politics and religion. I think government and faith are much better words but the concept and question remains the same. Why has it been made to be so controversial and off limits? Perhaps it's so that we wouldn’t get involved and therefore not make a difference in our lives or the lives of those in our community. Maybe it’s part of the reason why our world looks the way it does right now. But, I believe it is it important for us to get involved, especially in local government, in order to make a change for ourselves, families and community!
Note: Personally, Though I am conservative, I am not a political party kind of gal. I believe there is much corruption in both of our two party system. So, I go by the candidate and whether their views align with mine or not.
